Why are vinyl records expensive?

Does anyone know why vinyl records have become so much more expensive lately? I’ve been trying to add to my collection, but the prices are crazy compared to what they used to be. Any reason behind this trend?

Vinyl record prices have skyrocketed recently, and it’s mainly due to a mix of supply and demand. According to Why Vinyl is More Expensive Now , there’s been a resurgence in vinyl’s popularity, but production costs are higher than digital formats, especially with limited pressing plants worldwide. Also, newer collectors are willing to pay more for rare or exclusive editions. It’s a perfect storm of nostalgia, rarity, and manufacturing limits driving up the cost.
