About This Game

Lunch Truck Tycoon 2 simulates an authentic food truck experience as you explore the open world or play through story mode. In addition to a dynamic economy with ever changing prices, the game features a progressive environment with an active day-night cycle. Customers will flock to certain areas depending on the time of day: from morning rush hour in the city to the after-hours hot spots in the slums.


As you progress in the game, you can head back to the garage to upgrade your truck from time to time. Continue to improve your truck and your menu to win all 12 competitions, earn the trophies for all 3 regions, find all of the hidden gems, and become the grandmaster of Luncher Island.

Until there is a better intro to this I will not recommend it. It's confusing, you get a huge amount of 'press this to do this' buttons thrown in your face with no rhyme or reason and you are just left asking yourself what the hell is going on. One of the worst tutorials I've ever come across. I was really looking forward to playing this. Nope. The world feels dead, no subtitles, weird voice acting, terrible, terrible tutorial. I just can't recommend the game at this point. Personally, I see no reason to throw a huge fuss over this game. Neither good nor bad, I disliked how immediately I was required to do a ping pong quest to start the game. It feels very GTA 1, as far as gameplay goes. The graphics are meh. I waited for this game to come out for a while.

The game crashes from time to time, while performing actions such as completing that pingpong quest at the start. I didn't make it far, because of the crashes. That's why the review.

If I had to describe the game in one word, I'd say: Banana..

That is all.. I really looked forward to this game but it should not have been released as a finished product in it's current state.
The "tutorial" is not cohesive and shows you little or nothing about the game. The hints that pop up are not timed to coordinate with the event on screen. Ie it will pop up and tell you how to click an item to change prices but do so when you actually have a purchase menu open causing you to buy products rather than adjust price.
The AI is very poor. Pedestrians will step off sidewalks at random times in front of your truck causing 2000 "point" fines,although points are not explained at all as to how to get\/get rid of or whatever. Traffic AI is bad as well ,cutting corners and hitting you etc etc.
There is a lot of potential lurking under the broken shell and the game may be worth revisiting if the Devs fix the current flaws.
As is though I do not suggest buying this game untill patches have been released.
This should have been an early access title.. Why did they turn Lunch Truck Tycoon into a driving game? The original had no driving of the truck. I wouldn't mind driving it if the controls were easy to use, but after much trial and error getting the darn truck moving I ended up stuck next to a building and a knocked over trash bin, pinned down and unable to move. Then I got a notice that I'd better return home before the day was up. Wha??? What made the original game fun was the selling and the inventory management. No driving!. When the doesn't make sense, you know it's not going to be much of a game. I got it for $5 and even that was paying too much.
