The game is a magnificent work in progress and i can't wait for what the future brings. its not bad. mega fun! especially when it gets caotic and i lose all my turrets! :). I can't say that I would recommend the game in its current state - at least for solo play, which honestly just got boring in the first few minutes. That said - I played for a bit over an hour with a friend, with online multiplayer, and we had fun with it for about that long. There's not really much to the game, and I wouldn't say that it's balanced, or difficult, but I'm not sure that it's trying to be anything other than a casual tower defense game. It's clunky, but there's clearly some love there, and some real effort has been put into it. There's some opportunity to mess with the other players, which lets you build your own fun using this as a platform to do so. Might be worth picking up on sale if you want to get it now, but even at the full $5 price tag, if you get a couple of hours of enjoyment out of it, it's still cheaper than going out to see a movie. So - still can't really recommend it, but if you've got a few extra bucks laying around, and a friend or two to play with, give it a try.. I have one word to describe this game: ADDICTIVE! As I write this review, I am exactly 100 minutes into the game, and this was all in one sitting. I thought I would stick around for half an hour, but i just got so involved straight away! There are so many features, and considering it is in early access I really want to see where it goes. The main way to describe the game would probably be a first person zombie shooter farming sim tower defense. At least, that's what i've got from it so far. The game just seems to have a perfect balance, meaning you feel like you have lived through hell when you survive a night. This is a true survival game. You always seem to have just enough money to build a decent wall, only to have it torn down by some zombie that wants your brain. It requires strategy, as you need to even your budget out between replacing plants that will inevitably have been devoured and destroyed by zeds at some point in the night. It is a great game. The art style is nice too. Like lots of games, they have gone for the blocky, Minecraft-esque aesthetic, but instead of being a carbon copy like other titles, they have created a unique environment of play. The days feel warm and bright in stark contrast to the nights which are dark and deadly. The zombies may not look intimidating from a distance, but when they are tearing at your flesh and your base is overrun, you learn to fear them pretty quick. Overall, the game is a good challenge and very enjoyable and addictive. I can't wait to see how the developers add to it in the future.
