Are You Willing to Trust? - Teachings from This Moment Is Your Miracle

Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are certainly a lot of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles out there, but there should be something which you've hooked into, or caught onto? A thing that triggered a transformation or a major healing. So, what was it?”

“Trust,” I said.

Think about your daily life as it is apparently nowadays when it comes to the story. How do we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I do believe my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who is my source?” So whenever we discuss the last stage to the awakening being pure trust, it's simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and trust in most of these made-up concepts, beliefs and ideas in the world. It's kind of like building a big house of cards, stacking using one card following the other. Then a good wind comes along and poof, it's only blown over. It can't even stand a little gust of wind. It's so frail. It's so temporary. It's so transitory; It was this sense of placing trust in the Spirit and withdrawing trust in the rest; those issues that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we trust in those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy?It surely comes down seriously to the essence of who is my brother? Could it be Spirit or matter? Could it be Spirit or form? Furthermore how most of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried that one?So you are asking the question, “If someone dies or is apparently dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where this is heading is to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening will reveal is that everything is mental and that everything is a hallucination. author acim This is an environment of ideas and what we call manifest reality, isn't reality at all. There's no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to build his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the connection between thought and form. His lessons start off with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I've given everything I see all this is it's for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way up to number 4, “These thoughts don't mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He's referring to thoughts. First He's referring to perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes home with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 ... perception, perception, perception, perception, perception ... and then number 10, “My thoughts don't mean anything.” You will see he's attempting to melt everything together and show the last veil or stage of awakening, which is trust.

The Holy Spirit uses time and energy to teach us there's no such thing as time, to take us back to that timeless moment that is the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to instruct us they are all illusions and they are all equally meaningless. That's the method of operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work well with your head to loosen the attachments from the investment in a myriad of things. What type of things can you purchase, nowadays?
