The jury of the Venice Film Festival in 2021 is chaired by a Korean director

Director Bong Joon-ho returns to incised gold ink. The Oscar winner for the film Parasite became the first person from South Korea to be appointed as jury president or jury chairman for the Venice Film Festival 2021.

Through the film festival's official website, Bong Joon-ho stated, the Venice Film Festival has a long and varied history. She is honored to be involved in her beautiful cinematic tradition.
"As chairman of the jury and more importantly, as a timeless cinephile, I am ready to admire and praise all the great films chosen by the festival. I am filled with sincere hope and joy," said Bong Joon-ho as reported by Allkpop
