Four high school football stars enlist in the Marines to serve their country in Iraq. Unfortunately, they don't all return home. The ones that do survive face guilt, problems assimilating back into every day life, and a society that doesn't seem to support them. They face the pressure and the temptation to rejoin their fellow Marines on the battlefieldthey struggle to blend into civilian life. This is a story about American heroes, their courage, their pain, their humanity.
Four high school football stars enlist in the Marines and head off to fight in the war in Iraq. When one of them is killed and another wounded, they return home only to find is extremely difficult to pick up the threads of their old lives. The memories of events in Iraq combined with the lack of public support pushes many of these men to the breaking point.
Well, i'd say that this movie was well worth watching. You get what you pay for: the plot is not to complicated, but there are still some unexpected little details that may surprise you. I really loved Natalie Roy's performance, she's drop dead beautiful and i felt that ALL actors did quite a good job here. Mark O'Brien, who actually is a real Iraq veteran, deserves quite some respect,he deals with his fate in such an outstanding way. The movie does not condemn those soldiers, who went to the desert to fight for their country. It also clearly states, that they were fooled to believe, that they were fighting for a just cause. So, if you are interested in a story with a lot of heart, if you like straight forward dialogues and well chosen actors: buy the DVD.
This movie was absolutely dreadful. Halfway thru the movie I was still waiting for it to begin. It was flat, dry, bland and unmoving. The acting was horrible, there was absolutely no chemistry between the characters,... the list goes on and on and on. Definitely an eye-closer and NOT an eye-opener, I mean how could you ask viewers to believe in a movie and take it seriously when clearly the actors don't believe in it themselves??? I just wanted it to END.

The only thing positive I have to say is that the storyline wasn't completely and utterly awful but it definitely could have been portrayed WAYYYYYY better.
