Police inspector Emilien and his taxi-driver pal Daniel are back, this time on the tail of a group of Japanese yakuza.
The Japanese ambassaor is visiting Marseilles to view the city police's anti-gang tactics. During the visit, however, he is kidnapped by a group working for the Japanese yakuza. Young officer Emilien is determined to rescue the ambassador and officer Petra (his girlfriend), who was also kidnapped, and restore the honor of his department. Once again, speed demon taxi-driver Daniel (from the first Taxi movie) is called upon to save the day with his high-speed driving skills.
As usual in the Taxi series, the plot is not much of an excitement: a classic kidnap-story mixed with some love and fast-paced action.

In this case, a Japanese government-member pays a visit to Marseilles to have a look at the anti-terror system of the city. In order to show some of the possibilities, they take him for a ride through the city with some fake attacks along the way. All goes well till some Yakuzis kidnap the Japanese minister. To make things a little more complicated, Petra is kidnapped too. Of course Emilien wants to rescue her and this is the start of a chase through Marseilles and Paris.

As I stated before, the plot is rather poor, although a little bit better than the first Taxi-movie. Especially the love between Emilien and Petra and Daniel's father in law give the movie a very funny twist. As usual are some of the dialogs really outstanding and very funny.

Some of the car-chases are really top quality, but sometimes the action goes a little over the top (in my opinion).
