About This Game

From the creators of Sara is Missing, SIMULACRA is a spiritual sequel to the highly acclaimed "found phone" horror game.



You found the lost phone of a woman named Anna. In it, you see a desperate cry for help in the form of a video message. The phone behaves strangely as you dive deeper into it. You talk to her friends and they have no idea where she is. Her texts, emails and photo gallery provides fragments of information. It's up to you to piece it together.

Recover lost files, piece back corrupted data, and retrace her final steps. Find her before it's too late.



SIMULACRA is an immersive narrative thriller using the interface of a mobile phone. Like all phones, you have messages, emails, gallery and all kinds of apps to look through. With a strong focus on realism, the game's characters are played by live actors and shot at real locations. Dive into Anna's life as you look at her private photos, go through her dating app or view her personal video logs.

The voice acting was the cringiest thing I've ever heard.. I stayed up til 4am playing this, which I had no intention of doing when I started. Its kind of like an interactive movie in that it really draws you in. The use of the phone UI is really smart and the puzzles aren't too hard to be annoying. In my opinion this game has just the right amount of player based decision. There are multiple endings and I am already replaying to unlock these and other achievements. Play with your headset on, it really helps create a feeling of tension. Definitely worth the \u00a34 I spent on it.. I completed one play through in just under 4 hours and can say that it was fun and engaging the entire time! I'm intrigued by the other endings and interested to see how the experience differs when different choices are made. Well worth the price tag (and I think I even grabbed it on sale).

If you want to enhance the creepiness, I would recommend playing alone in the dark with a headphones, but it's honestly enjoyable to play with others as well, making choices together. Not a full-fledged horror game so if you're weary of scary games, this should be just enough to set you on edge.
