Awesome game. Old fashioned, a bit buggy, you cant jump so its hard to walk to places sometimes. Angles canu2665u2665u2665u2665u2665u2665me off when you have orc fallower cuz it gets in my face. Coin system in silverfall sucks. You end up having too many coins and nothing to buy but if you have the DLC after you finish the main game it may add up. The game alone and the add with DLC are two completly diff games. Cuz if you have both DLC and the main game, you get more in quality and gameplay. You get crafting, diff missions and new enchantments on items, also after you reach a certain level on silverfall, you can continue with the same stuff on the DLC. Or with the progrss as I'm still only half way into the game lol Now the story line, I love it. Its interesting. I bought the game a long time ago with a cd and it only had a little of the main quest and was mostly focused on farming. The steam version has full gameplay, which is really lovely. But its sad that even tho I recently found the cd, it didnt work because it's very old and it didnt have any way to be connected with steam. Also many things been updated since the old game and it has made the gameplay far less annoying, trust me on that. You used to have to walk all the way back to your grave, nacked, if you didnt have any items beside your main ones. But yeah, now that's in the past. The abilities are lovely too, you can fallow either the path of nature or the path of technology. Nature is the harder path. It sucks that you cant do certain missions because it adds technology instead of nature and you cant fallow both, so when you get technology skills, its deducted from your nature towards the technology, so doing all the side quests and choosing one certain path is impossible. But you can allways just yolo through it and focus on light magic/dark magic/combat. Also there is a multiplayer I never tried, you can try it but I have no idea how it works or if it even works. And the chance you find someone to play it with you is low af, because it isnt that there is a multiplayer server, you just somehow add it up with your friend? So yeah, good luck with that. Overall, I could praise this game for hours since I really love it. But I suggest you try it yourself if you love some of that old stuff like I do. And if you happen to choose to try it, get the DLC too. It adds up heavily to the main game itself. I may also add that if after getting it, it may have some problems opening up or some other problems, you just need to look up some info online. It would crash for me as well. There is also downloading problem where you have to download DLC and main game in a specific order or it doesnt add up. I recommend looking up some stuff first to avoid getting annoyed afterwards.. I haven't gotten this game or the stand alone expansion pack to work properly despite spending some time on it. It always crash after playing 5 minutes or so.. I own the hard copy of this game, and played the hell out of it, when I was young with my friend Christopher. the times we had with this game was awesome. The game can be tricky for new comers and experienced gamers alike as the interface and controls are a bit clunky. like most top down dungeon crawler lootfests you move your character by clicking the mouse where you want them to move, Or you can hold the mouse button down and drag it to move automatically. The graphics in the game are nice, although I'd recommend playing on lower end graphics, if you want the best performance as framerates can take a dive if there are too many enemies on screen. After the tutorial level, the game throws you into the real world, and says "Go for it" one of the things you will notice is in this game you have to pick a side between either Nature or Technology. You can try to stay neutral, though if you do, not much will get done, and you won't be able to use the best possible items that each tree has to offer. Like most lootfests, you have a large amount of weapons to use, so you will generally find something to your liking. whether its swords, axes, maces, hand weapons, or halberds, you will find something you like. As I said this game is can be VERY HARD, and I mean it, essentially this game can make you rip your hair out more, than dark souls, hard. basically, combat isn't that hard, but the enemies level with the player, so if you want to do some grinding, you can go pretty much anywhere and kill some mobs to level up. BUT, one thing to note, if you die, you loose all the equipment on you, and its up to you to go track it down, thankfully the game gives you a marker on where your stuff is. Although, when you die before reaching your equipment, the marker will change to that grave stone, so you have to track down your original grave based on your knowledge. Although this can be avoided if you pay for life insurance in the game. basically there is this guy who says "Pay some gold to keep your sh*t" which comes in handy if you feel your underleveled, or not confident. however life insurance only applies for that life, so if you forget to purchase it again once you respawn, than you better not die. This game is worth every cent if you want a good hack and slash lootfest. 10/10 would pull my hair out again.. Diable-like. Enemies level up when you level up. One save slot, you start from your village, in order to go on a mission you have to go through the same places you already visited time and again, fighting enemies that leveled up like you, as a result you'll wait hours for your mana and life to refill after every combat. Waste of time in 2017.. I wouldn't recommend this game at full price. I picked it up for less than $4, and it is totally worth it. You can easily get in 20 hours of enjoyable gameplay solo. The skill master rapidly drains your money if you don't plan out your characters, but I just started new if I didn't like a character by level 15. If you have a lan connection for multiplayer, then I'd say you will triple your game time. The controls can be difficult to work with, but targeting is simple, and hotkeys will allow you to organize what is important to your character. It also has some minor glitches with movement and occassionally leveling. Typos are abundant, but all in all it is an endearing little game.. I purchased both Siverfall for $5.00 on the summer sale. THis is a great deal! I hav not had any problems with the physics part; the Steam inatallation did it and the game runs quite well for me. I have a ATI Radeon graphic card. As for the game, it is a huge world and there seems to be many missions which you are free to do in the order you wish. You are also free to explore the world. I find the controls OK once you get used to it. I enjoy the many objects, treasures and monsters you find.. i played for about half an hour- i never killed anything, i never found anything TO kill. i just tried moving around on the screen looking for something to do which was a nightmarish chore. then i uninstalled it and am telling you not to make my mistake. DO NOT EVER BUY THIS GAME. Even if you have the time and the money to waste-waste it on something else.. It's a bit difficult to recommend. I think I like it based on the nostalgia factor, as I played it with my brother when I was 12, so playing it just brings back the memories.. I want to like this. I love action RPGs. But this game is just beyond punishing. You qute literally die every 2 minutes. The click detection is appalling as well. It's built like an MMO, but plays like a single player game and unfortunately makes the worst of both worlds (enemies that are all back when you reload is a prime example. Makes for a LOT of grinding). I also have the PSP version and to be honest, it's the better of the 2.. ok so i have only played a couple of hours but this game is fantastic.can be quite difficult at the beginning once you get the tutorial out of the way.if you go to wrong area or come across the wrong mob in this game your dead.but it has great character development and looks great for its age and is extremly fun to play.highly recommended if your an action rpg fan.
