This is plain silly low budget garbage that I know Val Kilmer must be regretting he ever agreed to star in it. I hope the pathetic paycheck was worth it Val! Silly plot, lame acting and an obvious lack of budget - save your money and when it makes it on free to air television, make sure you dont watch it!
This is actually quite decent for a direct to video film, as it was fairly entertaining, with a not too bad story and surprisingly solid performances for the most part. All the characters are decent, and there are a couple of good twists and turns as well, plus Christian Slater is simply amazing in this!. It was a hell of a lot better then I expected it was going to be, and it had a couple of decent Car chases as well in my opinion, plus Slater's awesome charisma definitely helps the film!. Val Kilmer was obviously here just for a check but still managed to play the bad guy pretty well, and it's decently made and written, however some of the dialog was really quite bad. Slater and Sara Downing worked well together and had good chemistry, and I thought the ending was quite cool as well, plus it even has Mini-Me in it in a couple of scenes!. as far as Direct to video movies go you could do a hell of a lot worse, believe me, and Holliston Coleman is actually really funny as the daughter, plus it kept me interested throughout. The Direction is decent. Predrag Antonijevic does a decent job here with what he has with OK camera work, solid angles and keeping the film at a fairly fast pace throughout. The Acting is surprisingly fairly solid. Christian Slater is amazing as always and is amazing here, he is extremely likable, as always very charismatic, had good chemistry with Sara Downing, had a pretty cool character, although I must say he deserves better then this stuff! (Slater Rules!!!!!!!). Val Kilmer was obviously here just for a check, but he still played a pretty good bad guy and was menacing enough, and surprised me because I am not a fan of him at all. Sara Downing is kind of hot, and did pretty well with what she had to do as the wife she was likable and tough, I rather liked her, her chemistry with Slater was also on. Bokeem Woodbine is OK in his role and did what he had to adequately. Daryl Hannah is sexy and does OK in her role which wasn't much, she was rather wasted. Holliston Coleman is actually very good and funny as the daughter, I see a lot of potential in her. Rest of the cast are fine. Overall worth the watch. **1/2 out of 5
