Hey recently I talked to a really cute girl and the previous evening I could see her eyeing me , she was with her friends and I kind of knew who she was so when she texted me my mind thought that she was actually interested in me. I kill the conversation by saying ill call him later. I call back and now his phone is off. I try back later and im on the blocklist again lol smh. I call from various numbers and those get blocked too. I was in possession of some of his work clothes he thought i was going to wash. So i go to hos house to drop of the clothes and his roomate informs me that he is in his hometown. At this point im feeling like i got played. What should i do if anything? Why do guys do this? I was as still sorta am in a vulnerable emotionally numb phase since my breakup so if he had been honest and said he just wanted to hook up i would have been cool with that. Why the elaborate lies and professions of loyalty and saying we are in a relationship. It could have been a drama free fling but now he's making me feel like a stalker for calling him. You already saw a lot of red flags, surrounding yourself with an unstable person like him wont help you at all. This is my personal opinion but of course you will have your own feelings for him, it would be better to stay away, heal yourself and when your emotions are better maybe settle things with him. Have a nice conversation in person. I hate online dating. I met some really nice guys but at the end of the date they always try to sleep with you. This can be good if you are cool with that but I'm usually not. I also just find it a turn off when a guy has an online dating profile.. Idk why I feel that way. I think it's because the way you meet someone is like part of your love story together if you end up dating. I like to just meet people by chance in life and when I least expect it. If you're looking for a lasting relationship, sleeping with someone on the first date puts you at long odds for success. Maybe you're going on dates with the wrong type of men? Age may play into it, too. Online dating cuts through all of the ambiguity of trying to meet someone in public. It's a time saver, and when you're a busy professional it's a nice extra option to have. Is it ideal to cross paths with the person of your dreams in the frozen food isle? The internet puts you in contact with people you probably wouldn't cross paths with. I don't believe we're destined to be with certain people. If you don't have the head for cutting through all of the BS, online dating may not be for you. Im usually not this stupid lol. I like online dating and i have met some cool people. This guy was looking for something and so was i. I got caught up in the hype which could happen wherever i met him. A little time has passed and when i put things in perspective its less about this guy online and more about missing my ex. Im dealing with those feelings now instead of trying to replace him.
