Bobby Kalinowski (Rob Van Dam), is a former Navy Seal enjoying a peaceful life as a landscape architect in Louisiana with his family. The new neighbors Clay Freeman (Edrick Browne) and Elise Freeman (Ava Santana), invite them for a night out at a famous club. The evening takes a turn for the worse when the club owners reveal themselves to be malicious criminals. Bobby gets into a conflict with one of the club owners, Ethan Bordas (Ross Britz). Ethan accidentally falls and is stabbed by his own knife. Ethan's father, Seth Bordas (Jerry Katz), puts a $100,000 bounty on Bobby's head. Also, Bobby is unable to receive help from the law, for Seth has Clay Freeman, and a corrupt police sergeant, working for him. To protect his family and neighbors, Bobby decides to separate himself from them and he calls on his Navy Seal colleague Big Ronnie (David Bautista) for help. Big Ronnie initially refuses, deciding to take the bounty, but later changes his mind and helps Bobby. Seth kidnaps Bobby's 16 year old daughter Brianna (Brooke Frost). Bobby will risk is life for that of his lovely daughter, fighting against Seth and his small army of henchmen.
Ex-Navy Seal Bobby Kalinowski lives a quiet, peaceful life as a landscape architect in an LA suburb with his wife Dawn and 16 year old daughter Brianna. Tonight they are invited out for an evening on the town by new neighbors clay and Elise Freeman to a happening club downtown. Little did they know that this would be the start of a life or death ordeal for the group. While at the club, Dawn is accosted by one of the club owners, Ethan Bordas. When Bobby intervenes and accidentally kills Ethan defending his wife, his enraged older brother, Seth, puts a one hundred thousand dollar bounty on his head. Now Bobby must escape LA while being pursued by every criminal, wise guy and thug in the city. Bobby decides to separate from his wife and neighbors and revert to his Navy Seal training to survive. To complicate matters, Seth has a corrupt police sergeant preventing Bobby from getting any help from the law! However, they all underestimate the fighting skills and abilities of Bobby Kalinowski who battles through an army of thugs to finally make it back home. But, relentless, Seth doesn't stop there. He targets Bobby's family next and kidnaps his daughter. His plan is successful and he lures Bobby to his seedy warehouse complex for the final showdown.
Going into this movie I expected the worst, but what I got out of "The Wrong Side of Town" was a surprisingly "ok" Action film, I would like to have other words to describe it but "ok" is the best for it.

Pros.

The script and story was good, and had me invested for its full running time.

Direction and some Acting was good, especially Dave Bautista, he and his character were surprisingly funny and likable.

Cons.

The Editing was horrendous, with wrong angles being chosen, repetitious shots being used and just generally cutting at the wrong times. Some of this could be blamed on the script or direction but really it was nothing that editing couldn't fix or handle.

Rob Van Dam's character was mediocre and although I didn't much the cliché' ex-military person character, his delivery of his dialogue and acting ability was passable.

Although editing can fix it up, the continuity in this film was quite bad otherwise thats all the cons.

I recommend this film for the bored Action lovers who don't care about mediocre action. I would of liked to give this film more all up but its technical aspects were just really bad.

For the Total of 4/10 This movie reminds me of nothing!! There are no movies out there that I can compare with. I am not a comments writer but first time in my life and the first comment. Here you go. After watching this movie I smack my head to the wall, then I register online so I can write my review, I had to make new email and validate registration, then I search the director of this movie and read more about this and that was it, I read number of reviews about this movie, I really can't believed that I watched the whole movie. The DVD cover shows Batista the main Character and he is no where but in few scene. (What is that?) The lady has big boobs out, what is that mean? RVD wearing sun glass in the night time, he was shot and fighting like nothing happen, his bullet was right up the top and he took himself out, and he dint even fell that, then he is on his way to fight the bad guys..(he look pathetic ) the most funny part, look for those 2 big guys bikers with goatee, the director could has get some one who is more fit in that role. They both look like from mountains and ready to ride a bike. There acting was so silly. I had to call my friend to sit down and watch this movie and the first 15 minute he started yawning and I saw he start sleeping. I felt embraced. I would love to write more but I just don't want to waist my time, I already did one half hour on movie and 30 min comments and making my account. This movie is HISTORY!!
