About This Game

Welcome to the Voodoo Garden! You're owner of a little hut in a bustling swamp. With the help of little spirits you can earn powers and gold by producing various voodoo supplies.

In Voodoo Garden you plant trees, shrubs and herbs in order to grow various fruits, leafs, mushrooms and more. By harvesting your plants and catching wild swamp animals you gather ingredients for your production of occult accessories. And you're not alone. Cute pets keep you company. Feed and raise them and you have the option to make a sacrifice and summon little helper spirits. There are many new plants, totems and animals to unlock, purchase and upgrade. Cute if a trifle bland.
Seems like it should be a free game.
Get it on sale.
There is nothing really explaining the game. Mouseovers will display some information, but it displays in small type at the bottom of the screen, not where the mouse is.
You don't get animal helpers until you fatten up and kill your cute little animals. Rather disheartening.
However, it does run smoothly, has trading cards and achievements.
I do find the game relaxing. I don't mind the lack of ambient noises as I quite often turn those off in idle and\/or clicker games because they become annoying.
There are no options outside of volume, full or windowed, and language. It is a take-it-as-it-is game.
If you are looking for something challenging, exciting or a game that gives you a real sense of achievement, this really isn't it. But if you want something you can play in bursts and aim for that 'just one more level' type of goal, I do recommend it. It has a certain charm and appeal, the artwork is cute and easy on the eyes, it is not expensive, and it works. I've spent more on games that can't claim any of those.
