Just out of prison, Nate needs to regain his family's trust and takes them on a road trip. His plans take a turn for the worse when a group of criminals covertly stash four million dollars from a deadly bank heist in his car with the aim of collecting it once through a police roadblock up ahead. Nate's family complete their unknown task and speed off down the highway, but the criminals need their money and will stop at nothing to reclaim it.
A gang of bank robbers hide their loot in the car of a family going camping. They chase down the family to kill them and get the loot back, but run into a fight.
I was expecting the average run of the mill action flick, but having seen the trailer weeks before I had an idea of what the story was, well that was somewhat right. What starts off is a film about a family of four going camping as the husband and wife are having some difficulties, they want to try and work things out as a family. Upon stopping at a rest stop they go to the washroom and during that time four crooks who robbed a armored truck the night before decide to stash the money on the families roof rack. What happens after that is a VERY believable chase and many, many plot twists. The deal maker here for me was all, and I do mean all the characters are well done in terms of everyone is strong here, no-one really getting over emotional about things just kind of accepting things the way they are. The way the writer and director allow the audience to think for themselves and not have every little detail bore us but instead help the story, the editing is quite well done as well. I was totally impressed by the casting of this movie and with enough people watching this I hope this gets noticed for being one of THE better action films of the last 5 years and that's coming from someone who sees almost every action film that comes out. Transit is a must watch, the plot is fast-paced and is literally constantly on the road except for a couple of scenes at a motel.

The performances are great and intense, the only problem is the swearing, the writers should have calmed down a bit with that or the editors could have done a bit more work in the editing room. The curse words were too over the top at times.

There's a scene that is unexpected and is basically a twist in the movie.

The cinematography is artistic with the green tint throughout.

Transit is more of a road thriller than an action thriller, there are some guns involved but not enough for it to be labelled an action movie.
