Game is fun.. This game is absolutely beautiful and the control is perfect with a twin analog stick controller. The particle count is just bonkers and it looks like the 4th of July. The music is pretty much the best ever written in human history. Really fun in short bursts. This developer did absolute MAGIC to the rumble motors, at least with this Xbox 360 controller. And the Pew Pew sounds are the best ever. Seriously. It gets challenging quickly like a classic arcade game.. I really like it, this game has me fishing for quarters to drop in the DVD slot! They totally captured the feel of an early 80's arcade game. Its hard, but not impossible. Its just spot on for what I remeber. Controls are arrow keys or wasd for movement. To shoot at the fuel tanks or enemy turrets you hold a left click and move your mouse in the direction you want to shoot. It takes a bit of getting used to but you get the hang of it quick.. Recommended on sale. This needs a map editor / workshop for people to contribute better level designs. (or else the dev. needs to improve it.) As-is (late 2016), it's worth maybe $2 on sale. But if there was more selection of good level designs it could be worth the full $6 price (and I'd update my review). Until the level availability is improved just play the demo or get it on sale. It starts out good, but then very suddenly gets very annoyingly way too hard, too soon. not a smooth progression. the fun just slams to a sudden halt rather than gradually becoming more challenging. Unfortunately the lack of progression can't be seen in the Demo. The first few levels are quite easy and fast (once you get used to the basic control) and you'll get through them in maybe 2 attempts. Then at Level 6, "Gauntlet of the Gods" it abruptly gets more than 10x harder and you'll burn up an hour repeating the same level over and over. Then it's time to uninstall because the repetition of getting farther through it inch by inch on each replay is too grindy, and be glad you only spent $2 for a 6 level game. There should be a gradual increase in interesting challenges of fuel management, navigation, and shooting. It's basically a remake of some of the earliest oldschool moon landers, but with shooting added, and other embellishments, which does make it more interesting & fun. The voice is simply annoying and repetitive, not actually amusing. But you can turn the volume way down. The music works well with it.. Simple little game where you try to land your craft on the landing pad. A few levels in it starts to require you to shoot things to progress. Now I had to fail a few different times before even noticing the mention of shooting controls somewhere. The big problem with the shooting is that there is no reticle of any sort and I had to drag my mouse in the approximate direction I wanted to shoot, for every single shot. I couldn't just drag in a direction and keep clicking to keep shooting in that direction, if that makes it any clearer. Overall I didn't find it very fun, and the shooting thing just made it annoying. I wouldn't recommend it, even on sale..
