A Foreign Service Officer in London tries to prevent a terrorist attack set to hit New York City, but is forced to go on the run when she is framed for crimes she did not commit.
Entrusted with the task of spotting any potential terrorists and chemical specialists who try to get a visa, Kate Abbott, the genius newly-recruited security officer at the U.S. Embassy in London, senses there's something off with the Romanian doctor, Emil Balan; however, her concerns are dismissed by her boss. But, then, after a devastating bombing attack in the heart of the city, Kate will surprisingly find herself in the spotlight and on the wrong side of the law, while at the same time, targeted by the international assassin known only as the Watchmaker. Can Kate unearth the conspiracy and make it in one piece before a new act of terrorism strikes the metropolis?
I won't spoil you if I told you that Pierce Brosnan is not the good guy in this, because it is clear from the start. He has the 007 mannerism in many scenes (less glamorous though) but he is most definitely one of the baddest bad guys in the movies.

This is an action packed conspiracy thriller with Milla Jovovich as the main heroine who is on the run for her life while simultaneously tries to save the day and lots of people with it.

The direction is adequate, so the thrilling parts and the pace of the film. No major complain in any area, this is a professionally made film that take itself seriously.

As I'm reading though the critics didn't take it seriously at all and in Rotten Tomatoes this movie has a 3% rating. I tend to disagree. This movie might be forgettable after awhile but it is still an entertaining movie that maybe worth the time to check it out. Was a little surprise what a limited release the film had,but then I saw the film and realized why.

Overall, the film was a great spy thriller. Very suspenseful and action packed.

But I'm was not too keen on Pierce Brosnan as the villain in this movie. In spy movies, I think he makes a better good guy and the type of villain he plays, a top notch assassin did not suit him well. Maybe I just have to get adjusted to the change, but so does Brosan who seems to be doing movies that remind people of his bond days(like last years, the November Man, were he played the same character, but was a good guy(and way better in it).

Some of the action sequences were a little lame especially with Milla Jovovich who has done a better job in lesser movies.

But overall I can't complain. It was a cool story about a security agent who investigates a man trying to get a passport to America, and when something seems up and her instincts turn out to be right, she ends up on the run after a botch attempt to kill her.

The filmmakers did a good job of making the whole thing exciting to watch, but one too many times it falls short of becoming spectacular, especially as it progress to the finale.

It got a limited release but I recommend staying home to watch it. The filmmaker should perhaps thank his actors for putting in more effort than this movie is worth.
