In season 1 that's set in 2275, a team of three bounty hunters in their spaceship dubbed Tulip chase after space criminals. Things get bad when they stumble upon a conspiracy involving experiments with alien DNA and the human genome. In season 2 that's set in 2300, bounty hunter Travis Montana and his female cousin Percy patrol the galaxy hunting criminals. Travis, who was kidnapped as a baby by Raiders, searches for his lost father Dante while investigating the secrets of the mysterious Dvinity Cluster. Due to cancellation, the show ends on a major cliffhanger.

I've been watching this series from the beginning, as something to kill time between "Buffy" and "Andromeda." While there are certain elements of the show I would definitely change if I was in charge, (ergo: Somebody KILL the lighting director), it can most of the time can keep me watching, even at the 1am slot it has here in TN. While sometimes the plots are pretty outlandish, (there's a guy frozen on your ship and you didn't KNOW about this?) some of the recent episodes, such as when Percy ends up in prison, have kept me glued to the screen. The backstories of the characters never truly get explained in detail, (not as much as on the website anyway) and it took me until the 11th episode to find out Percy and Dante' were related. And the whole joke about Caravaggio being so prissy because he was once an AI from a luxury-liner gets completely overlooked. And until I read the backstory on the website, I NEVER could have figured what was up between Luc and the Orchard. Overall, even with bad lighting and a few extremely outlandish plots, I still give this show my approval and hope it stays on for at least another season.
I got this for Christmas, and it was the equivalent to a lump of coal in my stocking.

The plot is that a bounty hunter played by the nearly inarticulate Michael Pare flies around the solar system looking for his son in a beat up old space liner which can amazingly be maintained by his teenage niece. His partner in this enterprise is a butt-ugly woman with an ulterior objective of trying to find examples of the "divinity cluster", signs of the next step in human evolution.

Anyway, for 22 episodes, they proceed to jerk our chains that they are making progress towards these goals before hitting the notorious "reset button" at the end of the series and setting us up with a cliffhanger. (I guess in the second season, known as Starhunter 2300, they get rid of Pare.)
