After crooked cop Lieutenant "Dutch" Dixon kills his girlfriend and frames him for murder, Reno Raines escapes from jail and goes on the run. Teaming up with Bobby Sixkiller and Cheyenne Phillips, Reno works as a bounty hunter while searching for the only man who can clear his name.
Renegade is my favorite TV show, and not just because Lorenzo Lamas is gorgeous. His character, Reno Raines, does the right thing even when it puts him in jeopardy. He has honor, integrity, and values that would do anyone proud. He (Lorenzo/Reno) is excellent at martial arts after studying since 1979 and the action is real. Lorenzo also collects classic Harleys,so he's not faking it on the bike either. This gives the show a very "real" feeling overall. When I was a child I watched Superman, The Lone Ranger, Zorro, and the show has some of the same elements. The hero must hide his true identity while helping others,but he's not in it for glory or publicity. He has a strong sense of right and wrong which seems to be missing in an awful lot of things lately. I know Lorenzo is busy these days with Air America and his family, but I think he could be persuaded to do a TV movie which would give closure to the show by nailing Dutch Dixon for his crimes and clearing Reno's name. I would love to see right triumph over wrong in Renegade.
i've watched this programme far too often for my own good and must agree with that brit that it's atrocious. I hate lorenzo lamas and the guy that plays bobby sixkiller. the plot is paper thin and steve cannell should stick to typing on and trowing paper in end credits.

the most irritating thing about this irritating programme is the bit at the start, you know the bit, where the voice says "he was a cop and good at his job, but he committed the ultimate sin and testified against other cops......GONE BaaaaaD".

this must be the most hair-tearing, screen punching, vomit inducing, horror filled intro in the history of television itself. i hate this show, please hate it too.
