I LOVED THIS GAME!! By far my favorite VR game so far! The pictures do not do the game justice, it looks 10x better in VR. dont let the bad looking textures fool you, they look terrifying once you're in the game.. I'm not normally one for horror games, but that scene from the 2nd Jurassic Park movie was basically imprinted into my childhood so I had to give it a shot. Quite glad I did. Even though it's definitely horror, you're in full control of your destiny, and I like that. The game starts slowly and builds up tension quite expertly. There's a bit of narrative to latch onto (always goes a long way in making me feel involved in the world). The feeling of raptors stalking you is exactly as you'd imagine. Their movements, the sound, all really well done. The models and animations are a bit janky, but serve their purpose. The game changes things up a bit as it goes along, giving you a few more things to toy with and even a whole new threat (again, the build up to the encounters are great). The final section is hectic, and you need a bit lucky to survive that part (defending yourself becomes hard and you're screwed if multiple raptors decide to close in at the same time), but overall a great VR experience. Can't wait to see the next chapters.. This is the first VR game to really get to me and make me feel freaked out. And my wife screamed really loud while a raptor got her, so that alone was worth the money. Great job. The feeling of being hunted is insane.. The feeling of being hunted is insane.. "Shine the light in the Raptors' eyes" As I watch my friend shine a seady light straight at the raptor's face while it approaches then eats him. He tries again with my Vive but he really tries to reach for the eyes, same results. I try and then for the first two in game hours there are no raptors in sight. I'm not a fan of horror/suspense but this was downright boring.. A great little game to play at parties or to introduce people to VR. Gameplay and replay are limited though. Surround Sound headphones STRONGLY recommended! PROS: -Great jump scares. -The raptors are visible for exactly the right amount of time. Just as you realized you saw it, it is gone. NEUTRALS: -Voice on the radio doesn't make much sense but I only played the first few "hours" of the night. CONS: -Fairly repetitive. -Menus are dreadfully lacking (only a "select your starting time" which is basically stage select.no options and I couldn't figure out how to quit without going to my computer).. very simple game. plays on sight & sounds for all the good fun.. I highly recommend using surround sound headphones / speakers if you have them. I dont scare easy in games and love all types from outlast to alien issolation BUT this games has made me poop myself a few times.. u00a36 to scare me u2665u2665u2665u2665u2665u2665u2665u2665 - what a game! This has become my number one game to scare friends when they use Vive for the first time - even scarier than the zombie shooters.
