Ragini re-locates to distant Lal Matti along with her Superintendent of Police husband, Dev Pratap Sharma, in order to enable him to apprehend a bandit, Beera Munda. Shortly thereafter her life will be turned upside down when she will be abducted by Beera and held captive. It is during this captivity she will not only find out that her fate will be decided within 14 hours, but also the real reason behind her abduction.
A bandit leader kidnaps the wife of the policeman who killed his sister, but later falls in love with her.
Can I give minus rating to this movie???? Such a bad movie.No story line, nothing exciting just because Mani took Abhishek in a lead role. Such a wastage of time and money. Abhishek Bacchhan was absolutely irritating as Beera .Did Raavan reach our expectations? Not even close. Actually, it's miles below a average movie. Raavan is absolute nonsense. Do yourself a favor, do NOT watch Raavan. Forget that such a movie ever released ,a advice for you. The first half of the film is so irritatingly direction less, monotonous and lifeless in everything that I hate to see the second half in the interval and my guess was right second half is more irritating than first one.
its been 24 hours now , i had been reading a couple of reviews of raavan . Surprisingly all of them rated it as a flop. to be honest , i was tempted to vote out of it and not to watch it . but then i realised a few years ago i had read same kind of previews about another mani ratnam movie called " YUVA" .

to be quite honest i found this quite on the contrary , I went with my guts and found of this was a masterpiece in making.

This is a story about 2 protagonist's . One of them is a naxal leader revenging the death of his sister and the other is a Cop who is hell bent to kill the same naxal leader who has kidnapped his wife to exact revenge for his sisters killing. The story is simple , drawn from Mythology but what makes it different is the change of characters , good becomes evil and vice versa .

To all those who say this movie sucks . all i need to say is wait for the next karan johar debacle , surely it will be a hit , because it would show SRK as a retarded person who cannot cross the street but can cross through neck deep water . Thats logic for you . need i say more.

Do not be fooled . Mani never made films , and it does not matter to him if its a flop or a hit, but rest assured , whatever he makes is a gem . If you do not possess the mental capacity to understand the movie , then watch some cheap humor flick or the usual " i love you " crap. If you do want to watch this get ready to watch and understand it . Otherwise i strongly suggest avoid it , and stay away .
