The mech action you were looking for. Pros: Relive your wet anime dreams.. It's an fallen age for robot/mecha action game. Bandai is ruining Gundam. FromSoftware becomes SoulSoftware and ditch ArmoredCore, Sega forgets Virtual-On. But here is a NEW HOPE. They are doing it right mostly. Although you can tell it's not super fancy for mechanic or character design. But the atmosphere is reaching great level and great music helps a lot here. But I hope you guys can just keep going. If you like mecha/robot action game, especially Z.O.E., hesitate no more, buy this without a second thought. You will be as happy as me. And please, update more content, NO MATTER IT IS FREE OR PAY DLC, I'm happy to pay for them.. I'll be quite honest, I had a lot of fun playing this game, originally I thought this was going to be like a Gundam game, but it turned out so much better. The graphics were appealing, and the gameplay was smooth. The Story and voice acting however needed some work or quality of life edits. there were times that the storyline did not transition smoothly, as well as Ingrid (the Mithril commander in the game) and some side characters had some absolutely terrible voice actors that didn't seem to put any emotion into their words. Other those nit picks I had it during the stage where you fight Yuliana the Battle Frame spams Funnels on an industrial scale and needs to be tuned down a little but not too much that it isnt still difficult (I looked up the strategies used to defeat her and none of them worked I also tried some strats of my own, there were all foiled by those damn Funnels). I understand this was a kickstarter game however so I'm willing to overlook that. Overall it was a very enjoyable game, I never felt a thrill like I had with Project Nimbus in quite a long time, The story setting was unique and other then the transitions I really enjoyed it. Overall I'd give Project nimbus a 9.5/10. Possibly one of the enjoyable games I've played this year behind Metro: Exodus. (P.S.) There is also extra content in the game called survival mode, Im sure most of you know what I mean by that but basically you fight off swarms of Battle Frames, so it isnt just a campaign in the game.. The best fast-paced mech game on Steam. Well, it's not like that are many like them. This game was developed by a small team with an incredibly small budget. It was done over the course of several years. It's really incredible how the developers never gave up and finished the game. To be honest, compared to for example Ace Combat 7, Project Nimus is one step down BUT taking into account the budget, Project Nimus is a masterpiece! The music of the game is really good. It reminds me of Gundam's music. The main theme is on par with some of the greatest musics of Ace Combat 7. The English voice acting is really good! I didn't try the Japanese voice acting. The gameplay is very fast-paced. Faster than Ace combat or Armored Core. If you know the expression "Macross Missile Massacre", then this game is the incarnation of it. You will fight with 30+ of allies/enemies, with some time more than 200 missiles on screen. At most maybe 400 or so. Combined with the music, it can become really epic. You have unlimited ammo and can move in three dimensions. You can use your boost for sudden acceleration, which will be a must quickly in the story. The graphics are OK. Anything more are it would be too GPU/CPU intensive for the computer. The story has potential. We can clearly see the developers tried to make it great but . there is just not enough content. We can't get attached to the characters without more dialogues between missions. I think skippable VN chapters between each mission is desperately needed. Even without voice, it would be a great addition. At least, to me. Besides the main campaign which has 20 missions or so, there are two survival modes. The first one is an endless survival mode with the mechs you played during the campaign. The second one is with a new mech made specifically for the mode. In total I think the game will offer at least 8 hours for fun gameplay. The game is quite hard so you can challenge yourself and easily reach 20+ hours. If you're not an experienced gamer, then it might be a good idea to begin from the easiest difficulty. Seriously. Considering the price : 20 euros, I think it's worth it if you like mecha/fast-paced 3D gameplay. Recommended.. The best fast-paced mech game on Steam. Well, it's not like that are many like them. If you wanted a normal and optimized menu, forget it. The menu is broken because the pointer is not properly calibrated with your mouse. If you're one of the game's developers and are reading, you be so kind fix this please.
