As WWII is winding down, the Nazi's have developed the uber weapon, a super soldier, a blueish pink version of the Incredible Hulk. A team of Allied soldiers, including a snooty Frenchman, "Brooklyn" (with the heaviest of fake accents) among others is sent behind enemy lines to destroy this secret Nazi weapon.

Oh come on that's not fair. That movie truly isn't a masterpiece but 2,7 ?? That's really underrated.

Positive aspects: For actors I never heard of the actors are really OK, some of them are even quite good especially that evil Nazi scientist was played well. The Music was completely impressive for a low budget movie. The whole equipment and locations were even OK for high budget Hollywood movie. The story is also OK and in some way it's something new. The camera-team also did a good job. The Antagonist does only appear about 4-5 times or so.

Negative aspects: Sometimes(!) the dialogs are strange. The Antagonist is the worst animated character since some movie from the 80's... It looks like some piece of a game video-sequence from a DOS game.. The Director has written some rather strange scenes like that in the end with the knife...

If you played the Wolfenstein games you will absolutely like this movie, though the newest game has better animations. It also reminded me of the game Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

If that movie came out in the beginning of the 90's it might be a cult movie now... I hope there will be some kind of special edition with much better computer animations. I'm used to a certain amount of cheese from "Sci-Fi Original" movies. I'm used to unreasonable premises, less than ILM-quality visual effects, and "mammoth" plot holes.

And yet I was STILL disappointed by "SS Doomtrooper." Most of my displeasure is reserved for the rendering of the Doomtrooper itself. If this had been the villain on a Playstation One game ten years ago, it would have been OK. In 2006, though, with the myriad of talented CG artists available, it's unforgivable.

Then there's the writing. From having a character named Parker Lewis (see Corin Nemec's filmography,) to the selectively deaf demolitions expert, to characters who can survive what should be fatal gunshots and never see the inside of a hospital, to having a villainous monster who can shrug off being shot point blank by a tank, yet can have a hand lopped off by a bayonet, the writing was bad. Just bad.

Corin Nemec and Ben Cross are MUCH better than this...
