This game is such a departure from the other Fighting Fantasy Classic titles I have played. It made for a very fresh experience. Instead of your standard armor, weapon potion, provision carrys, you start with nothing and have to find those items throughout the house. You have stamina, skill, and luck as always, but you also have a FEAR score which when topped out, you die from fright. I found this one to be slightly more difficult than your average FF book, but the writing was more complex and the difficulty level worked well with the scary motif. All in all I am having a blast with this book and my 12 year old girl is as well. She can't wait to try to get her friends into these. We are going to end up getting some of the paper editions that havent been placed on the catalogue.
