A must have mod for half life 2 fans. This Update is really awesome.. Well they don't make games like this anymore do they? Half Life 2 is one of the best games ever made didn't feature a minimap or any hand holding or any waypoints showing you where to go and it had AI that was u2665u2665u2665u2665ing ruthless against you. Game developers should go back and play the classics like Half Life, Doom, Quake, Goldeneye, even the original Call Of Duty. Because now we have games that are all the same they feature hand holding,u2665u2665u2665u2665u2665u2665u2665AI (ghost recon wildlands) XP progression systems and even u2665u2665u2665u2665ing XRAY VISION. Half Life, Doom and any other game from this era didn't feature any of thatu2665u2665u2665u2665u2665u2665u2665you basically got told what to do and you was left to it. This is what Half Life 2 was all about no cutscenes, brillant story and AI that actually challenged you. Great game, shame we don't have more that are better than the same oldu2665u2665u2665u2665u2665u2665u2665that we have now. What has the gaming industry come to? How did we go from Doom, Quake, Goldeneye and Half Life to the games we have today which are the same old buggyu2665u2665u2665u2665u2665u2665u2665that require day one patches and dlc to finish a game off.. Half Life 2 is the best PC of all time. The only game that could top it, would be Half Life 1. This update is the perfect way to experience the game again.. Completed in 13 hours! If you haven't already played half-life 2 and have a decent computer this is the version to play. I personally played this for the first time in half life 2 update(highly recommended for newer hl fans)! Holy F*cking Sh*t!!! This is hands down my new favorite game of all time. Your first playthrough is amazing! When the game introduces you to something it does it swiftly which doesn't slow the gamee down at all. The only thing about the game is the late parts of ravenholm but that's it! this should have been the first game in my steam library! When the game ended i took it all in. Than installed hl2 ep1. And Cursed at valve for no half life 3. For Hl2 Update I honestly loved that you guys actually took the time to compile the maps with better lighting and lighting maps. I'm a tf2 mapper and i know how long that would take! Also LIGHTRAYS P.S. Breath of the wild is my new favorite game of all time. I'm sorry hl2. I still love you.. Half-Life 2: Update Meh, there's nothing really to be said besides the fact that it's a graphical upgrade for Half-Life 2, better shaders, better particle effects, achivements and better skyboxes with fog. really I say just look at my review for HL2 and you'll understand.. A must-have mod for anyone who enjoys Half-Life 2. The graphics are amazing.. Barely noticable differences.. prettier hl2. picking up a can has never felt so immersive
