Fallout 3 is by far one of the BEST games that has ever been created. For a game to make a comeback like it did, Bethesda poured their hearts and souls to give us this masterpiece. While the gameplay is not perfect, such as the Halo like aiming and Karma system, it makes up for it with a stellar story, interesting characters, and immersive gameplay. I've played almost every Bethesda game. Doom, Elder Scrolls, Wolfenstein, you name it, I've played it, and nothing can compare (well, except Zelda Breath of the Wild) to such an open world sandbox game such as Fallout and Elder Scrolls. Great game. It's definitly a must have
I remember when I first had this game it was my boyfriend's but he gave it to me as a Christmas present and at the time I also had skyrim as this was 2012 so fallout had been out a few years by then. I didn't take to it at first I found skyrim was easier and I couldn't really understand what all the fuss was about. It was only after my boyfriend showed me how to play that I was hooked, I must have spent most of that summer playing it. The gameplay is fantastic as well as the music, graphics are a little dated but bare in mind this game is 10 years old so it is going to look a little old. Would I say it's too dated to play though? Certainly not I bought fallout 4 when it came out and honestly I was disappointed because it doesn't even come close to how good this game is. I would also recommend you buy the game of the year edition some of the dlc makes the game (point lookout is my favourite one). The story is really good especially some of the side quests so they're worth a go. I've played it about 10 times now because it's so easy to go back to there's loads of different routes you can go down. Definitely buy this game!
