About This Game

Elliot can’t die—but he’s still running out of time. In Elliot Quest, the victim of a rare curse must find a cure before he’s transformed into a demon.

After Elliot’s wife disappears, he falls sick and attempts to take his own life--only to discovers that he can’t die. Plagued by nightmares and growing weaker by the day, Elliot seeks out a local Sage, who tells him that he’s the victim of a rare curse. A demon called a Satar is slowly consuming Elliot’s vitality.

If Elliot can’t find a cure to the curse before it’s too late, he will become a Satar. His only hope is to ask for the help of one of the island’s Guardians, who have kept the Satar from taking over Urele. Elliot can’t die—but he’s still running out of time.

Gameplay:

Elliot Quest is an adventure/RPG where players explore the mysterious Urele island in search of an ancient demon. With 5 dungeons to conquer, 16 bosses to defeat, and countless treasures to discover and hidden areas. Well-balanced gameplay easy to pick up but challenging to master.

Great action/adventure game. The puzzles, enemies and levels are superbly designed. Cool audio and visuals. A must for anyone who likes metroidvanias, Zelda or retro games. It has some minor glitches and lacks real full-screen support, but it's still playable, hopefully they will get all this corrected soon.. This game, is a good RPG like game, but it is hard to solve the puzzles without looking at the guide online on the internet. It is not recommended. Played this game to completion twice (!) on Switch. It's absolutely great. Really well-designed world, fun combat, and lots of content. Despite being quite generous with the amount of stuff there is to do, you make forward progress at a pleasantly brisk pace. Great! It's very much like a homage to Zelda II -- think "Metroidvania" if that doesn't say anything to you. One of the best in its genre.

The unlockable hard mode is legitimately good. Apart from getting a sweet new outfit, enemy placement is remixed, and it ramps up the challenge accordingly. It makes for a fun rather than tedious challenge.. Fun little retro-feel game. Not a whole lot of direction from the game or controls, however it was simple to figure out on my own. The music is fun and game overall looks really good. The game was not laggy and controlled very well.. I really wanted to like this game, but it's just a terribly frustrating experience. Pick up something I presume to be a potion, what is it? No idea. Consume it, nothing happens. Huh, I guess it's a health potion as I was at full health and nothing happened. Doesn't matter, as you will never find another one. Pick up a scroll, what does it do? No idea, as it's not even in your inventory. Pick up some sort of amphora vase, game text tells me I better keep it at home.. mmm, ok? But it's not in my inventory! And I won't even go into the rest.. Frankly, I'd like my money back..
