Not perfect, but I really liked it a lot!

PRO
- very nice visuals
- wonderful music
- good voice acting (especially the voice on the phone)
- great story!

CON
- even on 'Ultra' the graphics are somewhat blurry; I would have loved a 'super-ultra' setting
- physics can be a bit weird (like in many VR games); f.e. objects falling through furniture, etc
- a rather short game (but I guess fair for the price)

I recommend to everyone who's looking for a story-driven adventure game\/experience.. The graphics and soundtrack were great. The story telling however is all over the place with a very random ending that had nothing to do with the events prior to it. I still don't really understand the story. The game has quite a few annoying but not game breaking bugs as well. For the price though I still recommend it.. The graphics and soundtrack were great. Didn't understand the sticknote mechanics at first (hint you need to stick them on the pegboard). Lost one item under a pile of stuff but otherwise the game worked well. Interesting story, not so satisfying ending but otherwise an interesting experience.. Explore your home while rediscovering the truth about a past relationship. It's part "living journal" and part sci-fi. Very immersive. I look forward to seeing more from this developer.. The story seems intriguing, but the game is difficult to play due to how glitchy it is. The first time around I was suddenly unable to interact with most objects, so I had to start over. This time, the game crashed because a paper got stuck in a drawer that I had just closed! I was also stuck with only being able to rotate an item that I was examining on one axis, which, if by design, doesn't seem very intuitive. For instance, I picked up a note, but was only able to rotate it left and right - this meant that, due to the starting position of the object, I wasn't able to actually get a better loot at it whatsoever.

I don't know, maybe it works better in VR? Still, I can't recommend the game in its current state - at least not for non-VR - and it doesn't seem like it's getting updated either, which is a shame, because it could certainly have needed another patch or two.

I will probably give the game another chance at some point, and if it decides to be more cooperative I will udpated this review.. Elena is an adventure title that tells the story of the lady who's searching for his missing husband.

It is a title that is compatible with the HTC Vive VR headset, but can also be played without one.

Elena features minimal gameplay, and the story is illustrated through dialogues, the environments and in textual form. There is literally no action in this game as well. Player will be exploring the house to search for clues to learn where his missing husband is, and connecting the clues to learn what has really happened, as things are not as simple as she has originally though.

This game last between 45 minutes to under 2 hours, and thus it is a pretty short game, so player may want to adjust their expectation. There are some minor glitches in VR mode, so hopefully the dev will goes to fix them. While most items can be picked up, they can't really be interacted in anyway.. Elena is a lovely little walking simulator (not in the pejorative) wherin you walk around a cozy, clean Ikea home and try to figure out what is going on. I wouldn't say it gripped me, the story telling (in English) is about as good as you could expect a media school program somewhere in the Netherlands (I think) to muster. To solve the story, you mostly just pin notes and pictures to a cork board. It is brief, I beat this in about an hour and twenty minutes, and few people have been over to play it.

In a year or so (that is by 2018), all of these little experiences will likely be forgotton, but for now, if you have a little free time and want to dive into a small, managable narrative, then you might give this a run.

(Side note: I would really think this ought to sell for 4.99, I think the notion of selling this for 8.99 is a bit of a stretch.). Elena is an adventure title that tells the story of the lady who's searching for his missing husband.
