About This Game

"I need a Dustoff!" became an all-too-familiar call on the airwaves of jungle wars. Now take off with your rescue helicopter and search and save the life of the wounded soldiers in the field, often under fire. If you can't, nobody else can!

Find the stolen cargo with your Chinook helicopter and transport them safely to the nearby friendly base, all the while fighting off hostile tanks and other enemy combatants.

Save hostages being held in Prisoner of War camps. They are desperately waiting for the remarkable sound of the evac helicopters. You are their last hope so save them all!

Flying Dustoffs take courage on your part as a helicopter pilot, as ground fire is the rule rather than the exception. The rewards, however, are great.

Choplifter a la Minecraft. Excellent arcade action and a good challenge. Not too difficult and some strategy is required for later levels. Well worth the money.

After getting all the achievements I do have to point out that the last level is impossible with a controller. You need the mouse.

To get the game to recognise the mouse you have to unplug your controller.

The Devs do need to fix this.. This game, (For those of you who don't know) was and still is a mobile game. It was ported, but it got updates to it so you can keybind and all that goodness. I do sort of like it, but I wouldn't play through all 25 levels unless it was the only game I had installed and had no internet. The controls are a bit clunky when turning because it turns you SO for over that you can sometimes crash into a tree without going very far up first. To go straight up, you have to press your laft and right buttons at the same time. The shooting is a little odd felling if you have your keys binded to for right on your keyboard, unless you have auto mode on. I give this game a 5/10 because I kind of want a refund. (ERGH STEAM). A fun 5 hrs or so. Then theres the replay values, and going back and getting all the dog tags.................... Having not watched the trailer, the biggest surprise for me was that the game is played in 2d rather than 3d. That is to say you control the left\/right movement and also up\/down (altitude) and that's it, meaning no third dimension to roam in. So it's an on-rails shooter where I was expecting more of a simulator, arcadish but still. Since it's also on smartphones though, it makes plenty of sense the gameplay is such.

The game itself is addictive. I was tempted to complete everything in one sitting, that's how much fun I was having. War is depicted in a cartoonish and nonjudgmental vein that I like very much. There are two control schemes available which provide varying amounts of frustration. The achievements are not hard at all. For people seeking additional replay value there is an (entirely optional) set of collectibles. The 3 weapons are quite distinct from each other - each is best suited to a particular situation so the first one can remain relevant even in the final missions. All in all, this was pure casual bliss.. Great simple game!. If you ever wanted to fly a Chinook trough an underground cave complex digged out by the hands of vietcong child soldiers... boy do I got a game for you.

I recommend putting aiming on mouse and control difficulty on professional ! Extra torture guaranteed but you can pull some stuff that is impossible with the Amateur setting (noob pilot).
And if you are lucky the game has those distinct weather effects, changing monsun storms, fog inside the caves, various bodies of water you have to divebomb into to pull out some dumbass GIs.

One major gripe I have about this is the non existing controller support. I got 3 different gamepads on this thing. Direct and XInput and all of them do not work. So thats that. Gonna get emulator support for the controller.

Get it on SALE or in a bundle. It is worth it when you are bored.. This has to be one of the best games I've ever played. Its simplistic graphics keep kids detached enough that it can be fun without being traumatizing. It certainly isn't an easy task doing what is required of these pilots. It might not be AAA quality, but its story and history make up for that. Again, well done.. I just want to turn off the auto shot.
Like clicking the aims..... Fun...for a short while but as someone has already said, needs more content.
I would like to be able to fly back into the background and forwards into the foreground, fly over bigger scenes/areas with more to do in the missions. Maybe even a mini map and even rotate camera 360 etc (only if the above was implemented)
Graphics are cute though..kinda like the minecraft look (though dont play it)
