Reporter "Speed' Morgan helps gangster "Flash" Barrett escape an ambush by rival gangster Mullin's henchmen, and then escape the pursuing police. Posing as a wanted gangster named "Frisco" Eddie, Morganis made a member of the gang and goes West with them as Barrett is looking for rancher Bill Miller, who was his in-between man on stolen diamonds until Miller dropped a package, found out it contained diamonds and hid and kept them. Miller's sister, Lois, is unaware of her brother's connection to the eastern gangsters.
Reporter Speed Morgan helps Flash Barrett escape from the police and this gets him into Flash's gang where he poses as a gangster. Flash and his gang head west guning for Bill Miller who failed to send some diamonds on to Flash. Speed hopes to bring Flash to justice but is in trouble when his true identity is revealed.
This formula support picks up a little when it escapes the B movie urban setting (windowless newspaper office and boat-less docks) for the old west - where you can send telegrams from the hotel and the car loads of gangsters can pursue our fearless undercover reporter hero on his impressive white horse down the dirt roads.

Bell is better looking than most of his peer group and manages tall in the saddle. Acting is not his best number. Irene Rich's daughter doesn't have much to do as the heroine while wrangler Bud Osbourne gets a substantial part which he carries nicely.

Harry Frazer organizes it clearly enough but some of the action is unconvincing, relying on edits to suggest danger.
