Loved this game alot!
The puzzles ranged from easy to annoying to tough!
Tons of sidequests, that I did not complete all of them.
Interesting story - I usually just breeze through the dialogue in most games, but this one was interesting and related to tthe development of the game.
I will be replaying to try to finish all the quests.. Time well spent. I enjoyed the humor of the main characters interactions, as well as the overall feel of the game. There were many side quests and stories that did not just feel like "go here get this item" boom done no other point. Each new area I opened for side quests also had different ways of going about the objectives of the quest. I never felt bored with the game which is hard to say since I have played an incredible amount of rpgs over the years. They had fishing, a battle arena a secret organization to join, different outfits for the characters to unlock a decent story with multiple endings as well as many places to save which I definitely appreciate being a person who saves games excessively.

I think the thing I liked most about the game was that it was open to you at all times. You can miss over a side quest but do not lose on the opportunity to go back and get it. I never felt like oh great I can never do everything in this game in one try it was more oh I can explore more and do side things to lead to something better. Thankfully it was true. The more side quests you do the more items you receive, which in turn lead to better items at the end of the game. It helps you quite a bit to beat the last boss so all of your work wasn't for naught. What was nice as well was I did not feel like I was like just doing busy work. I felt like this had more opportunities in it for funny banter, character development as well as a way to further explore the world I was in as well as the people in it.

One of the things I would get excited about would be when I would find a letter in the game. You take the letter to the post office and they decipher it for you and tell you to whom the letter is for. Then a map opens to the location of the place and you get to then explore more areas. After entering a dungeon I would make sure to check every area hoping to find a new letter. A lot of the times I would leave the dungeon and start on the letter before even finishing the place because I was so excited to see what would open up from it.

The battles are challenging and the monsters level up with you so I ended up resting a lot, but there is a side quest which opens up an island of snow, and once you complete the objective, you can sleep there for 25 gold. Which is the cheapest place to rest in the game. A lot of the time since money was scarce in the beginning in particular, I would keep going back to that island to rest. Another thing that was great was once you killed a monster (except on slime island )they would be gone forever. So you would get the money the xp and not have to deal with them again. By the end areas of the game I was max level of 50 and had enough money to where I didn't need to fight the monsters at all which was a nice reward I thought.

This is an incredibly rewarding game especially, one to be had on an rpg maker. I just wished I had played it sooner so I knew to buy Dawn's Light 2. For some reason this game isn't available to buy right now and I have no idea why. I hope that changes in the future with reviews like mine to show that even now people are wanting to buy more of the products created by this developer.. The most amazing game on earth.

LOVE IT.. I was pleasantly surprised by this game. While the story itself was nothing special, the satire and comedy was great. I found myself enjoying that enough to want to explore the all of the nooks and crannies. I did not find everything, but I was fairly close by the time I hit endgame.

I did not particularly enjoy the automatic enemy scaling power to match your level and number of party members, but it did make it feel like you were always challenged.

All in all, it was a good RPG maker game that had a fair bit of effort put into it, and it was well worth the price.. A fun and amazingly in-depth RPG Maker game with lots of stuff to do; not just quests, but things like fishing, and delivering mail a-la Paper Mario. I've been doing a Let's Play of this game and I've immensely enjoyed it so far. If you'd like to check it out, I've included the link to the first episode! https:\/\/youtu.be\/JqcCL86wb_o<\/a>. The striking thing about this game is how well organized it is. Information is easy to find, you're never left wondering what to do next, and there is a good balance in the types of gameplay, so you're always doing something new.

The story isn't much, but serves its required function of explaining what you have to do, and why. There is significant dialogue between the characters, which is mostly for humor (which it does successfully), and little else.

Puzzles are a primary feature of the game. They are just challenging enough to be fun, and no two are alike.

Quests come in the form of islands. When you recieve a quest, you unlock that island on the map. The game has four seas full of islands to explore, with a nice balance of required and optional quests.

Progress through the game is nice and tidy. Nothing takes too long, and you always feel like you have a choice of which quest to take on next.

Overall, this is a very well made game, and I recommend it highly.. The game at first sight was like not big deal, but for someone that played old school games i try it and then i saw the magic happen, it is really worth game to play, thank you creators!!!. 20 hours. 20 hours of hilarious gameplay. John Wizard: YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN!

Absolutely great game! The main quest is linear, so it's simple, and the side quests are interesting and easily completed without having to go back again and again. There's no grinding cause enemies are all gone after you defeated them once, so it's not boring. The cap of level 50 as being the max was sad though...

The storyline, as usual of any JW game, is twisty and heartwarming. I'm still sad about the death of somebody's brother. Mannnnnnnn...

Whatever it is, this game is definitely worth it! And on sale! Good...
