Another top down zombie shooter game? Yes, I know what you are saying to yourself. because I asked the same thing when I saw this new early access action game pop up today on sale! But for what it offers it's first day in early access, it offers a HUGE bang for your gaming dollar! Here's my 'First Play on Launch Day" early access review video: Destructable items? Check, Ability to craft items? Check. Ability to buy new items and sell items? Check. Lots of different weapons? Check. Is it fun? Check! It is cool? Double check! Does it control well with the mouse and keyboard? Check! .Is it worth the regular price of $1.99 USD on Steam? Triple Check! Just quit complaining already. Yes it's another zombie shooter. Yes, it's another top down shooter. .Suck it up butter cup, buy it already. you know you want to.. Dark Days is a 3D Top Down Zombie Shooter. In early access beta build, I went in not expecting a lot and walked away satisfied with the content so far provided. Obviously, there is a lot a work ahead to make this game something special but the animations give a different spin on it and the voice acting with the minor storyline adds the right kind of chemistry that could make this game a great game down the road. Just purchased this game yesterday.. the voice actor for the main character is quite bad in my opinion. Voiced like a poor Arnold Schwarzeneggar impression. The animation for the melee weapons is quite bad. (just a plank making a swipe animation, you dont even weild it). SOme of the level design is just aweful, especially the zones in the forest, you can barely see anything since the foilage is covering the entire screen and the supposed open path is barely visable with barely any visable range to the side so you cannot see when a zombie is approaching you from any direction. Some zone will always have the zombies rush at you and it's especailly fustrating on the forest map because you cant see anything. The running zombies are way too fast, they should either lower it's movement speed or increase the overhead veiw zone in order to allow the players to react. Also the safe zone mission is a pain because it depend on luck due to the fact that you have to find npc in the open and they spawn at a really low chance.. PLAY DIS GAAAMMME!!. Fun game can beat it in about 3 hours if you're just doing the main missions, gets a little repetitive.
