About This Game

Cult of the Wind is a game about people who pretend to be airplanes.

"In an unknown time and place, a cult that worships the wreckage of ancient airplanes gathers to mimic the dogfights of old. With the peak of humanity far behind, their world is a mausoleum to a lush and verdant Art Deco past."

In Cult of the Wind, players compete and cooperate in ritualistic multi-player human dogfights, complete with imaginary weapons, pretend explosions, and airplane noises made with their mouths. Shower your friends in a hail of imaginary bullets and proclaim, "I got you! You have to lie down," to which they respond, "Nuh-uh, I have a shield." You argue about whether or not airplanes can have shields, meanwhile some other guy does a cannonball onto your head while whistling. It's great.

With an intuitive point-and-click level editor you'll be able to craft new levels or modify existing ones, then immediately share them with anyone on a server, even if you aren't the host. You can also craft a personalized appearance for your character with numerous articles of clothing and more.

I played Cult of the Wind online for a few minutes (the only other person at the time online disconnected; and there wasn't really much point in me running around alone for any longer) and glanced at the level editor.

The game look\u2019s alright. The sound effects didn't sound as \u2018pretend\u2019 as I expected i.e. they didn\u2019t sound like people just making sounds with their mouths e.g. \u2018pew pew!\u2019

You control a person pretending to be a plane pitted against other people pretending to be planes in online matches (at least that's the idea). The match that I played appeared to be in a capture the flag mode.

You have the option to customise your character outfit. However at the moment there doesn\u2019t appear to be much in the way of options. When I played there was a single dedicated server. I did not find any other servers. This only option for a server had a ping of 9999. Not sure how accurate that was. I was able to join. But there was only one other person on the server. I had to fiddle around trying to figure out how to spawn and not be in the same same team as the only other player. I was able to experience a dogfight which was amusing. However my opponent soon disconnected and I was left alone on the server. So I took a look at the level editor. I made a box and stuck a flag to it. It doesn\u2019t doesn\u2019t seem to be something that a casual player can just pick up and use.

It has some unique gameplay elements that offer a different experience. Potentially this game could be a lot of fun. If you can find people to play it with. But I really find it hard to justify the $15 price tag when I was only able to get a few minutes of gameplay with another person and when there are a lot of good games already out there that are free. I recommend that you wait for a special or for the price to drop if you are really keen to try. A sale will probably also boost the player base so that there will actually be people online to play with.

I truley wish this was more popular as it is one of the best games i have ever played. 10\/10. I'm sure it's a great game, I just can't find out whether it is or not considering there is literally no one playing.. This is probably one of the coolest games I have ever played. Sadly, I have only done so by myself.

It is a multiplayer game.. I was skeptical at first, but seeing a game with such a light-hearted and imaginitve take on the dogfights of old was refreshing and fun. It has a really fun and easy-to-learn style of gameplay that was loads of fun to play even one-on-one. It deserves more attention than it has been recieving for sure! With enough players, this is something truly special to behold. Please, support this game!. As you can see by my time played im quite experience... so i know what im talking about.
Cult of the Wind is a great game for people who are like me and wish they could just transform into an aeroplane and fly, some people want to be birds but i want to be plane. In the game you pretend to be an aeroplane flying around firing imaginary bullets, come play with me its great.

also there are no players and only 1 server, the dedicated main server with a max of 16 people. no one actually plays this game. 15 bucks or how ever much it was well spent come join me
