About This Game

Just when you thought it was safe to eat chicken again, the chickens have returned with an organized invasion to take over the entire solar system! Journey to each planet and fight your way through to save the world (again)!

In the first chapter of the Chicken Invaders saga, you defended Earth against an invasion of intergalactic chickens seeking revenge for the oppression of their earthly brethren. However, as you were clearing out the last of the chicken invaders and were looking forward to a double chicken burger special at the space burger bar, the true scale of the problem became apparent: the first invasion was simply a precursor to the chicken's main assault! Their master plan now becomes clear: to invade each planet in the solar system and make sure that it is inhabited exclusively by chickens!

The time has now come to don your egg-repulsing helmet and make the biggest omelette you've ever made as you continue your adventure in the second chapter of Chicken Invaders: The Next Wave. Only you can make a difference. Will you succeed? Will the future of chicken burgers be secure? Or will you end up as part of the menu in a galactic chicken restaurant?

I remember playing this many years ago on my grandparents PC. And ofc, I remember child me getting a little frustrated at how hard the game was.

More recently, I stumbled upon this game here on Steam, and thought I might as well get it, for old times sake.
This game is actually fairly easy, but still holds its challenge.

This is a cheap game, that will entertain you for a time, although doesn't have much in the way of replayability compared to others.. woah man, could play this game for my life time, one of best indie oldschool games ever existed, i had no internet connection and my girlfriend played this game for a whole day 11/10. Old Times FeelsBadMan. Best Game EVER !!. So classic, love it. Shoot the Evil Chickens and Get the Power-Ups ForDays

#OldTimes-IsTheBest-Times. Same game fun like Chicken Invaders 3,4,5.
They brought Chicken Invaders 2 to todays' graphics without killing it.
Only thing I miss is the narrator-and-pilot-trashtalk from the later-on titles, but hey it wasnt in "Chicken Invaders 2 the Original" so it is not here.

Gfx: Polished-Up Gfx, looking nice even on todays' lowend computers, giving it a 7/10
Sound/Music: Have heard better, also heard much worse yet. And you can mute it too! 7/10
Playability: Works fine with pad as well as keyboard, no gfx lags no sound lags, all good. Even when screen is full of chicken n eggs. 10/10
Good pricing (4€) 12/10

Overall 9/10
.5 point deduction for me now having the strange urge to buy chicken wings...
