Senthil and Ganga marry against the wishes of their extended family, and move into a mansion right next to where the cousin intended as Senthil's bride Shweta lives. Several members of Shweta's family are miffed at Senthil's "unauthorized" wedding, and his mother start's fearing for the newlyweds' safety when they move next-doors to their cousins. Soon after moving into their new house, strange things start happening, whether these are caused by the apparent ghost of a former occupant, Chandramukhi, or any one of the suspicious members of the extended family, will be looked into by "psychiatrist extraordinaire" Dr. Sarvanan.
Shweta believes she is Senthilnathan's childhood sweetheart and everyone expects them to get married when they mature. But Senthilnathan falls in love with Ganga and marries her, and thereafter re-locates to move into a palatial house right next door to Shweta. Shortly thereafter a number of incidents occur, leading them to suspect Shweta. Senthilnathan invites his foster brother and Psychiatric Dr. Sarvanan to assist them and possibly treat Shweta - not realizing that the entity behind these incidents is a vengeful spirit that will soon engulf and endanger everyone's lives.
You go to see a movie, probably with some friends. Maybe you are watching it at home, via the internet or DVD. You laugh, you point, you share food. You're young; you're not looking for an examination of life's poignancy, so there's no need for subtlety in plot -- in fact, it's better if there isn't. Songs should announce themselves with drastic volume increases, cars should swoop by and screech when halting. People shout, pose, preen, plead, scold, threaten. Jump cuts keep it moving. "Energy" is the key. A movie for those who don't pay much attention. I myself have no use for it, but obviously someone does.
A very nice and different Rajini movie. Though you don't see any special punch dialogues,Rajini does show his class and why he is a super star,which is what precisely fans want too. The story has a lot of substance giving everyone scope to perform. Jyothika excels. She definitely has the audience spell bound. Sasikala who has given Telugu voice has done an amazing job. Prabhu and Vineeth have done their job really well too. Vadivelu-Rajini combo is nice. The rest of the supporting cast is good too. The special effects,lighting and sound is amazing. The minor flaws in the movie can definitely be over-looked if you are out to enjoy the movie. Watch it for Rajini and Jyothika. Both show their class. All Rajini fans and Jyothika fans WILL LOVE IT. Am a fan of both and well,I loved it.
