The skiing feels good. It's not quite as much of a workout as the other skiing games
but control feels good.

Shooting feels good too.

Menu and interfaces could use some attention.

Overall decent. About on par with the VR dodgeball game that recently released.
But There's only one track.

What helps sportsman in hard competition? Of course, this is spectator's support. That is why there are sports fans in our game.

Some statistic. There are more than 100 spectators in one location. Each of them greets joyfully players and watches the race with interest. We used 10 animations for sports fan movement.

Biathlon Battle VR was released three weeks ago. And all this time we have been working to improve our game. We received a lot of feedback that helped us identify the problems of the game and fix them.

Perhaps the main problem with the release version of the game was bad controls. The players did not understand how to turn in game. We have changed contols, now for turning it is enough to tilt the head or body in the right direction.
New controls is very convenient and allowed to move more maneuverable.

The second of the main problems was the main menu of the game. Now the player appears in front of an interactive table on which all menu items are conveniently located.

The third problem we consider the amount of content. We have added another new track, I made an overview post about it last week. The track is greatly improved visually relative to the screenshots you have seen. Also on the first track available from release, decorative assets were also changed.

And finally, we fixed a number of bugs we noticed during testing. Some of them allowed to increase the size of the rifles in the room to a gigantic size, as well as to fall out through the wall onto the street.

Virtual reality games implement player movement differently. Sometimes it makes a player feel nausea. What type of movement is used in our game?

We implemented two types of movement: teleportation and skiing. The main function of teleportation is movement on the room the base location. This way doesn't "broke" perception of reality by a player's body. And a player doesn't feel nausea.

Also, a player moves by skiing during races. The movement happens by arms bent at the elbows. It imitates push by ski poles. This way doesn't bring discomfort to a player too.

Biathlon Battle VR became available in early access on Steam in January. Since this time we fixed bugs and developed new locations. What is the state of the game now? What activities are available now?

Second, is a new training mode. You'll learn how to ski and shoot with the help of tooltips and hologram-helper.
