Armenia, officially the Republic of Armenia, is a mountainous country in the South Caucasus region of Eurasia. Located at the interface between Western Asia and Eastern Europe, it borders Turkey in the west, Georgia in the north, the de facto independent Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan in the east, and Iran and the Azerbaijani exclave Nakhichevan in the south.

Business
The economy relies heavily on investment and support from Armenians abroad. Before independence, Armenia's economy was largely industry-based - chemistry, electronics, machinery, processed foods, synthetic rubber, and textiles - and heavily reliant on external resources. The republic had developed a modern industrial sector that supplied machine tools, textiles and other industrial goods to the sister republics in exchange for raw materials and energy. Recently, Intel Corporation agreed to open a research center in Armenia alongside other technology companies, signaling the growth of the technology industry in Armenia.
