This is a very common Fungal infection. It’s thought that around seven in 10 individuals have athlete’s foot (tinea pedis) at some time in their lives. It’s caused by fungi that grow in the skin between your toes and on the soles of your feet. They grow easily here as a result of of the wetness shaped once your feet sweat. The infection can build the skin between your toes fretful, flaky and red. You may get painful cracks, or fissures, in the skin there. The sole of your foot may also become itchy, thickened and scaly. You might get blisters too. You’re more seemingly to get athlete’s foot if your footwear makes your feet wet, and you’re in a warm, humid surroundings. You can develop athlete’s foot if you walk barefoot on damp, contaminated floors such as in communal bathing or swimming areas. After scratching the affected space, you can unfold the infection, causing athlete’s foot in alternative components of your body.
